Chandler Fire Department!

This past week we visited the Chandler Fire Department!  Now I'm torn between which one is MORE fun--the Police OR Fire Department???  The boys had such a great time and all of the fireman were soo kind and patient with the boys.

Here is Fireman Brandon who flexed his muscles for the boys--he's REALLY buff!

Kicking back during the fire lecture:)

This is the awesome trailer the firemen use to educate the kids in the community.

Here they are climbing out to safety from a pretend fire situation.

The boys were entertained the ENTIRE time and the fireman were AWESOME!  Such an awesome field trip!  Thanks boys for being on your best behavior!!!

This is always my MOST favorite field trip of the year!!!  Officer Valenzuela of the Chandler Police Department does such an AWESOME job with these boys and they always learn SOOO much!  (And they always have TONS of questions:)

Here are some pic of our trip!

Tyler, Carter, & Kyle in the slammer too:)

At the shooting range!!!

With Officer Valuenzuela!
The boys were full of questions which were all answered by Officer Valenzuela.  The boys had a great time and were on their BEST behavior!!!  They should be full of stories and information so make sure to ask them what they learned!  Way to go Wolf Scouts!!!

Day Camp!

We had a great day camp this year!  On Friday we were at the Gustafson's home.  We started with a flag ceremony and some cheers by Brother Brice:
At our first class Brother Brice taught us how to build raingutter regata boats:
Our next class Sister Corbett told us some Native American history and the boys built Indian huts out of clay:
The boys earned their Map and Compass belt loop at the last class which was taught by the Havey family:
The boys made their own tin foil hot dog dinners:
The giant slip and slide is always fun:
Then each den raced their raingutter regata boats:
We ended the night with a campfire and some dutch oven cobbler:

Saturday we were at the church.  After an outdoor flag ceremony, our den's first stop was the cub cars.  Brother Brice set up the ramp again and the boys had just as much fun as they did in February.
Our second class of the day was Knots, taught by Brother Smith and his son Alex.
Next we learned about genealogy (religious knot requirement) from Sister Smith:
Pizza for lunch!
Brother Williams taught Flag and Citizenship:
Then the boys earned their Volleyball belt loop thanks to Jeffrey and Jason Tomlinson's help:
Our last class of the day was Craftsman, taught by Brother Caffall and Brother Brice, where the boys learned about different tools and got to build a tool box.
We ended the day with some water games:
And of course a water balloon fight!  The boys enjoyed hitting Bishop Tomlinson!
It was a fun two days and the boys learned a lot and fulfilled many requirements.  A special thank you to all parents and leaders who helped!

Marbles Anyone?

Okay, so I'm WAY behind on this post.  But better late than never right?!

So the boys earned their Marble belt loop at our last official den meeting of the year.  It was so fun to see these boys enjoying a good old-fashioned game:)  They had a great time!  Who knew that marbles could be so fun:)
