TV Station Tour!

I know I've said this before, but I HAVE to say it again...this was the BEST Cub Scout field trip EVER!!!  Everyone had a GREAT time and learned all kinds of good stuff:)  I was most amazed at how nice everyone at the station was.  They really took the time to talk to the boys and answer any and all questions--and there were LOTS of questions:)

Here they are at the beginning of the tour

Our tour leader was Nathan

YES!  That is Sean McLaughlin talking to all the boys!!!

Behind the scenes...

Wow!  I think they need a few more computers:)

April Pack Meeting

It was a very busy night, since we hadn't done a Pack Meeting with awards since January.  Three boys (Jacob, Hershal, and Andrew) earned their Wolf and got to "wolf" twinkies down!  Thankfully no one choked this time!
Then we had EIGHT boys who earned their Bobcat; we're pretty sure this sets some kind of a scout record!  It was quite a production to get them all painted, patches put on, and parents pins given.  Congratulations to Tyler, Eli, Max, Mark, Jake, Weston, Brigham, and Cole!

Our den is now at 14! These boys have tons of energy, but they are LOTS of fun!  Thank you to all the parents who help make our job easier!

Home Depot!

One of our favorite field trips is to take the boys to Home Depot to fulfill their tool requirements.  First Darrell talked to us about different kinds of tools and what they were used for.
Then Sue taught us how to build race cars. Twelve boys (including one in a cast!) swinging hammers was a bit scary, but thankfully we only had one finger hammered!  We could not have done it without our three brave parent volunteers - special thank you to Sister Clouse, Sister Tomlinson, and Sister Alvey!

The boys were very well behaved and they did a great job on their cars.  Then they had fun racing them on the floor.  And they passed off all their Section 5 requirements!
