Building Muscles!

Tonight's den meeting was all about games and building muscles:)  Which meant the boys had fun the ENTIRE time!  Games, games, and more games--and a little competition at times:)  Here are the boys in action:

We were once again VERY happy to send all six boys home with NO broken bones or even tears!  Success!

Ride Right!

Tonight at our Den meeting we discussed bikes and bike safety. The boys ALL had fun stories to tell--yes parents...we know a few more family secrets:) Here they are learning the correct way to signal turns:

They also learned about all the different parts of bikes:

Then we headed outside for a little obstacle course and a little bit of showing off! Some of these boys sure had some FANCY tricks--about gave Sis. Meeker and Sis. Park a heart attack a few times:)

We were very happy to send all of the boys home in one piece tonight!!! Way to go boys! See you next week:)

April Pack Meeting

What a FUN Pack meeting! This month's theme was "Campfire." So the entire meeting was outside.

Super proud of ALL of our Bear boys. Everyone earned something tonight!

Our awards included earned beads, the Ultimate Frisbee and Wildlife Conservation belt loops, and arrow points! Way to go boys!

Veterans Oasis park

We had SUCH a fun den meeting tonight. I know that Sis. Park and Sis. Meeker were most surprised at how AWESOME this place is! The boys learned all kinds of cool stuff tonight--nature conservation, food chains, recycling, endangered/extinct species. Did you know that as a whole 99% of all animals to have lived on this earth are currently EXTINCT??? Our animals that are alive today are not nearly as diverse as they have been in the past. That was an amazing/somewhat sad statistic to hear. The boys had a great time with our awesome tour guide:

They even had the opportunity to HOLD a baby Desert Tortoise!!! Look at this little cutie and these BRAVE boys (and a brave Sis. Park:)

A big thank you to the five boys who came tonight and earned a BELT LOOP!!! Yahoo!!!

And for anyone who is interested, there is a FREE event happening at the Veteran's Oasis Park on Friday, April 20th from 4-7 p.m. There will be plenty of hands-on activities and live animal presentations--all in honor of Earth Day!
